Description & Rationale: The Peoples Place transforms the 2023-24 State Library Victoria annual report into a people-first publication, shifting away from corporate formality to highlight community, inclusivity, and belonging. Inspired by the library’s role as a cultural hub and safe space, the design uses playful vector illustrations and a bold, vibrant palette to create an inviting, story-driven document that celebrates the people at its heart.
Key Objectives:
Position the library as a welcoming, people-centered institution
Express SLV’s values through a fresh, accessible visual identity
Deliver a bold, professional, and easy-to-navigate publication
Foster belonging and inclusivity, making the report feel like a place for everyone
